What is the difference between eau de toilette and eau de parfum?
Eau de toilette and eau de parfum mainly differ in their concentration of fragrant essences, which influences both the intensity and the staying power of the trail. Eau de toilette generally contains between 5 and 10% aromatic concentrate. It offers a light, fresh fragrance, ideal for everyday wear, especially in warmer weather. Eau de parfum, which is more concentrated (10 to 20%), reveals a deeper, longer-lasting scent, perfect for evenings or cooler seasons. How should eau de toilette be applied?
To enjoy your eau de toilette to the fullest, spray it on the pulse points: wrists, neck, nape and inside the elbows. These points naturally radiate warmth, helping the fragrance diffuse. Apply it around 15 to 20 cm from the skin, ideally moisturised, to help it last longer. Unlike eau de parfum, eau de toilette has a shorter staying power (around 2 to 4 hours) and may need a touch-up during the day to revive its trail.
